following the star 2

The_star
happy epiphany!
Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1

For my eyes have seen your salvation,
which you have prepared in the sight of all people,
a light for revelation to the Gentiles
and for glory to your people Israel.” luke2:31-32

Light of the world,
You stepped down into darkness.
Opened my eyes,
let me see.
Beauty that made this heart adore you
Hope of a life spent with you (chris tomlin)

Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone.
The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. john 1

    isaiah 49 (look it up)

are we willing to search for the light this year?
to seek just a glimmer in a world filled with darkness?
in a world that seems so bent on hiding in the dark, can we shine the flashlight?

will we be a star, brightly hung for others to see?
or will we hide too?
will we live in fear...or step out and follow even when the batteries seem fading?

light of the world...help me shine
light of the world...give me eyes to see and ears to hear
light of the world help me crawl out from my bushel and take my place on the stand.
light of the world walk in front of me this year...
and with your help, i will choose to follow and not run ahead.

Hey Lilly,
I've never heard about Epiphany until today-so Happy Epiphany to you as well. Congrats on 20 years of marriage-I think that is just incredible. I hope you and your family are doing well and are enjoying the start of the new year!!!!!!!
