the dad who gives away half his fortune for his kid ..
the dad who risks shame and public ridicule for his kid ...
the dad who moves his chair to watch and wait for his kid...
the dad who SAW his child as he entered the driveway...
before the kid could see the dad!
the dad SAW
the dad HAD COMPASSION
the dad RAN!
he grabbed his child
he hugged him, he kissed him...
he cleansed his child with his tears...
and
as the son confessed and tried to become a servant,
this dad
commanded the servants to bring the finest robe, a ring, new shoes
and kill the fatted calf...
the celebration is to begin!
my child who was lost...now is found
my child who was dead...is now ALIVE!
i want a dad who waits..
i need a dad who runs!
and today, and everyday...
i really need a dad who'll hug me, who'll grab me and never let me go!
and who'll wash away the pig poop with his tears!
