the lenten hobo honeymoon by edward hays...is one of my favorite lenten devotionals. and i even created an experiential worship service out of it. i always recommend it during my workshops, and this inspired tim and his wife jen to use it with their students and to start a great lenten blog
and for the book link on amazonlenten hobo honeymoon
also check out jonnybaker's blog today for some other great resources from mark pierson and steve taylor, both from new zealand. ( i think mark is still hanging out in australia at present) all three of these guys have become friends in recent years and i love their work and creativity.
jonny's church/community grace does a lenten blog too.
freshworship lenten blog is one of my daily lenten disciplines.
also there is a great lenten retreat and other things to try on sacred space. i didn't like the music with the st. e's meditation, but you can turn it off and add your own : )
some great lenten prayers can be found at the open office
a new website to resource communities writing/creating their own liturgies and sharing them with all of us.
and last but definitely not least, my friend rev kathyrn at good in parts has some great stuff for daily devotions too. she being inspired and we can to by the church of england's church wide love life live lent.
these are just a few to get you started...if you're like me you are slowly entering the lenten season and like me you may need a gentle kick in the pants to get your lenten journey moving.
and if you have other resources/websites you'd like to share, please do so. i'm always looking for new things for inspiration.
each day of lent is a gift from jesus to us
an opportunity to grow
an opportunity to be reconciled
an opportunity to be still and know that he is God.
