sunday saw 500 friends and family gather at eastside christian church in milford, ohio to celebrate the life of john haines. it was the first funeral/memorial that i've created atmosphere architecture for...and only the second where i've helped design the worship. jonathan wolfgang is the pastor of eastside and he rocked the house with his sermon/remembrance of john. my sister-in -law actually spoke about her marriage and life with john, without losing it..i'm not sure there would be any way i could have done that...i couldn't watch the slide show without falling apart.
it's one of those weird things...life goes on.
we have to go back to normal...which for the haines family will never be normal again.
and we have to start living again.
for me that means getting the kids back to school yesterday, being totally tired.
doing laundry
packing
and heading to the emergent gathering in glorietta, NM in about half an hour.
it will be good to see new things
see old friends
and be in another environment beyond the hospital.
thanks for your prayers
and your friendship
special thanks to julie gross and emma for all their creative hard work and for sharon for coming
through at the last minute with her muscial talent.
aaron and sarah thanks for the chocolate it helped too!
seeing today as a gift.
