sunday night saw the beginning of a dream...or the fruition of "it's about flippin time you did something!" thinplace is our willingness to be willing to the call of God for us here in cincinnati, ohio.
so what is thinplace?
Thinplace ... monthly and weekly gatherings featuring lectio divina, artistic response, journaling and chocolate
thinplace is a celtic christian term describing places where the veil between heaven and earth is thin.
for the celtic christians, thinplaces were places on the edges of things...like the coast,
a mountainside, a plain separating forest and field.
places where the presence of God could be felt with ease.
most of us have special places in our lives where we've experienced or encountered God...usually these are places of beauty, often these are places away from the crazyness of daily life.
but what if we could bring thinplace into our real worlds?
what if we create space to encounter God, and create places of beauty and creativity where we can explore our relationship with God? AND what if we did this together?
that's our desire with thinplace
to be a gathering of people seeking to make space for God
people on a pilgrimage of discovery and creativity
a community of friends seeking to live out faith in the way of Jesus.
thinplace ...gathers in several ways during the month
