after my quick trip to san diego this past week, i repacked the family and we are now on vacation on beautiful lake michigan! it has been a while since we have been here in the summer! usually it's spring break or thanksgiving...so it's fun to think of actually getting a tan and floating in the water, not just looking at it!
so the greetings to all my grand rapids friends .... and know the lewin clan is close by!
we'll be making a pilgrimage to mars hill bible church tonight(home of rob bell and denise van eyck)...what a fun place to have as your vacation church! and hope to see some of my journey group friends while we are in the area!
more to come on the great time in san diego! loved actually getting to hang out at the youth specialties headquarters! great to see renee altson too! and loads of exciting stuff for the ys convention....but while you're waiting for the update, why not register for the national youth workers convention this fall!
and thanks dj and doug for the heads up on part 2 of the emerging church special...and thanks be to god that i didn't sound like a dork in the video! : )
we are off to the fruit stand for some blueberries and sun flowers! hope "all ya'll" are having a great summer...love lil
It all sounds great...I kind of get the feeling that you get the point of summer rather better in the States than we do here...Schools only break up this Friday - 6 weeks holiday - and we'll only be away as a family for one week.
Not envious, exactly, just wish there was more of a holiday feeling about the place...Go on having fun, though. Summer hugs x

Have fun up in Michigan. I was born in Grand Rapids and lived in Michigan for a third of my life so I know the area pretty well.
