For me, worship is less about singing the right songs or praying the right words or even preaching the right message - its about having the right attitude. If all God's children had an attitude of worship that encompassed their entire being, then Sunday morning gatherings would accomplish so much more. Heck, even Tuesday night board meetings would accomplish a lot more.

I love singing songs to God as much as anyone, but I know that without the right attitude, I have not worshipped God with all that I am.

This stanza came to mind as I was thinking about worship and our attitude of worship: "Cure thy children's warring madness, bend our pride to thy control; shame our wanton, selfish gladness, rich in things and poor in soul. Grant us wisdom, grant us courage, lest we miss thy kingdom's goal, lest we miss thy kingdom's goal." - Harry Emerson Fosdick, 1930

The goal is to live a life that is pleasing to Christ, and that is about attitude, not music.

Great thoughts! Amen! This is a topic that our church continues to wrestle with; sliding from one end to the other. I don't know if we will ever get it right, but in the struggle we sure are learning about each other and God.
God bless!

i am frustrated today because we have corrupted the word worship.
