so after i announce and wish everyone a happy spring yesterday, the ole groundhog punxsutwney phil
sees his shadow and forecasts 6 more weeks of winter! i won't mind but i'll have to resurrect my winter coat!
yesterday hudson was home sick and watched "groundhog day"
with bill murray! i've spent all day with that polka song playing in my head! this movie is such a fun film. it takes phil conners re-living feb. 2 over and over again 100's of times in order for him to grow up and learn that life isn't just about him...after serving himself and feeling bitter and burned by the whole thing, he learns how to love and serve others and he learns who he really is and who he really wants to be.
when phil finally learns the love lesson, he gets to wake up back in REAL time.
i feel like in many ways i am just waking up to who i really am and who i am called to be. i've spent
too many years repeating and replaying old junk. but today i had a epiphany and realized that the alarm clock was playing a new song! i'm no longer captive to this old junk i've carried around for so long!
it's actually a brand new day and i am a new person! and this means that i am getting out of the way and allowing god to flow instead of saying "no i can't" or "it can't be done".
so we're beginning a new adventure in lewinland... you'll be hearing more about all this in the days to come.
and if you're interested in new adventures, good food and good friendship,( and you live in ohio ...sorry andrew that i can't fly you in) mark your calendar for feb. 17 and email me for more info.
oh this is mysterious and exciting and wonderful and i can't wait to hear more!! you and yours have been in our prayers through this transitional time knowing that you are in a state of transition too...
sure wish we could be there for the 17th too, blogging will just have to do!

I watched Groundhog Day on Groundhog Day, too! I was hoping for an inspired way to integrate it into our collegiate worship service that night, and although I didn't come up with anything appropriate for that occasion, I did get some good belly laughs out of it.
