Thanks for your comments about the invisible kids/people of Katrina. I just got back last weekend from visiting and working in Mississippi and seeing the devastation that still exists. The people on the trip agreed that working is great, but when we return the just as important work just begins: opening people's eyes to the reality of what's going on in the areas affected by Katrina. It's bad and will be for a while... we can't forget.

We (front porch) just had a group go down last weekend. A great reminder that WE are God's grace extended to those in need.

Also, we are sponsoring a benefit concert(House of Heros and John Ruben) May 20th for Invisible Children here in Columbus--they are sending a team. Interested in hosting something in Cinci around the same time?

I'm another participant of the IC movement. I actually might be going to Uganda this summer with IC (I'm praying!). Here are some practical ways to help
1. Host house parties or schedule screenings of the film at schools, churches, etc.
3. Check the World Vision website. There is a link with a pre-written letter for congressmen and the President. You just sign it and they send it.
4. Another benefit concert opportunity:
Grove City COllege and Slippery Rock COllege (about an hour north of Pittsburgh, PA) are hosting a joint effort benefit concert for IC. It will be held at Slippery ROck University on April 28th. Brad Corrigan from the independent band DISPATCH will be performing, as well as a Pittsburgh Gospel choir and step tea. It's going to be AWESOME, bringing together several communities for one cause, and we are hoping to raise lots of dough for IC's education program in Northern Uganda. COME!!!!! Tickets are $10. email if you want tickets.
Best wishes to those putting the concert together in Columbus too. WAY TO GO GUYS!! WE STAND BEHIND YOU!!!

i would love to help and i am my engilsh class of mishawaka is rasing money
