michigan ...the journey continues

so much for my hope of posting consistantly in may! i do post in my head, but some how it never makes it to the laptop....
there is much happening in my life at present...just over a week ago, i created a prayer room for the vineyard great lakes regional pastors conference...the prayer room was based on "invitations" the invites jesus makes to us throughout the bible...
the highlight for me was seeing a couple of nine year olds engage in the prayer stations and actually "catch" the story of god!
perhaps even more fun than creating the prayer room, was getting to teach with rob! we did a workshop on "sabbath, work, sleep...getting your groove back"...not our title (we actually filled in for dave nixon and kevin raines of vineyard central) but we had great fun talking about putting sabbath and silence into our real lives...we actually created a space for sabbath in the gigantic worship space at vcc tri-county.
and yes, i did confess to being a recovering work-aholic who is learning daily how to experience real sabbath!!!
it was such a blast to teach with rob! we used to teach together a lot when we did college ministry togehter, but it's been a while.  what a gift to work so well with the one you're married to!

today, i'm up in michigan...thursday and friday was a gathering of my journey group (old photo from last year). we met in holland at brian and amy wolthuis' home! and wow! what a couple with the gift of hospitality....great food too.
we are planning a gathering you might want to come to in the late spring of 07...
