ok...i went to kansas and kansas city and planned on blogging while i was there, didn't happen.
had an amazing time at youthfront and at jacob's well. thanks so much to the king's and the keel's for hosting us and showing us what god is up to in the great state of missouri.
i do have photos and an update of our adventures but of course when i got home, life happened, i did laundry and repacked and we left on family vacation to michigan. so this past monday we headed to the cottage and made it in time for sunset. in the midst of all this i'm writing and writing and writing since my july 1st deadline came and went.
my friend joy asked what i'm writing about...
it's a book on experiential worship that i'm writing for zondervan/youthspecialties with my good friend dan kimball.
it's affectionately called "bucket of rocks" at our house, nicknamed for all the buckets, bowls and vessels of rocks i collect at the beach and use later in worship experiences!
i nick named it "free range worship" because it will be a collection of prayer rooms, prayer stations, and experiential worship services ready to use.
it's actual title has yet to be determined...just know that it will be worth the wait for all my friends who've heard about it for the past two years!
thus you see why i've been slack in blogland!
and i ask your forgiveness for this and i do plan to do retro posting on the trip and our latest adventures here in western michigan.
today's adventure...podcasting from the cottage.
rob and i are hosting a podcast called "everyday spirituality" for wired parish . it's a brand new christian podcasting network...alt radio as it were for progressive christian folk.
brian mclaren, len sweet, tim conder are just a few of the other hosts.
be one of the first to subscribe and you can find out what we sound like on audio!
more soon! lil
Stop blogging, start writing! :-)

our little project down here in nashville is a little on the behind side too. but i think yours is a bit more intensive, so i give you all the grace to take as long as needed for a bucket of rocks.. my house would be a rubbermade of wax. &:~D
