it's the half year mark!

so today is the half year mark....we've  completed the first six months of 07 .
and now we have the next six months, the second half of 07 ahead of us!
so how's you're year thus far?

we considered this as we spent time with jesus at the cincinnati art museum at our monthly art walk/art worship gathering.

perhaps like me, you need a new perspective on 07...maybe like me you'd like a "do-over" for the second half of the year.
i realized while at the museum that i'd been seeing this year as
a frustration, rather than a gift. six months of pain will do that to a whimp like me. thankfully my shoulder is much better that a couple of weeks ago (thanks for the prayers)
and i'm looking forward to what God has up his sleeve for the second half of 07.

Peter's Confession of Christ
18Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, "Who do the crowds say I am?"

19They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life."

20"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
      Peter answered, "The Christ[a] of God."

21Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone. 22And he said, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life."

23Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.

Where do you want to be, to go with God by Dec.?
Are you viewing life as an adventure or a drudgery?
Where does God want to take you?

Jesus you invite us to see the earth as our playground. You invite us to play with you today, To see the gifts around us. To be present and aware of the sights, sounds, tastes, smells, and the things that we touch and the things that we are being touched by. Creator God help us to enjoy BEING today. Inspire us to see life as a gift box filled with treasures you’ve designed just for us. Help us to feel your love today and inspire us to celebrate life and to give this life and love away to others along our journey. Amen.
